THE BIGGEST LOSER CONTEST

The Lovable Losers Literary Revue is filled with Losers of every ilk. Young losers, old losers; black losers, white losers; men and women losers; short and tall losers. We want to know your story. What makes you the Biggest Loser? What pathetic confessions about your life as a Cubs fan can you share? Have you got a waterproof Sammy Sosa poster in your shower? Admit it. Have you got a Hee-Seop Choi tattoo in an unmentionable place? It’s okay. Have you missed work because of the Cubs, caused riffs in your family life, gone into debt? These are all signs.

Our contest begins now and we’ll invite the most intriguing candidates to appear on Memories of the Game on WRMN, 1410-AM on June 22. The contest will continue through the summer and conclude with a Biggest Loser at our September event with Rick Kogan, which is centered around the theme of curses.

Submit a 500-1,500 word essay to donaldgevans@hotmail.com about your Life As A Loser. The best essays will be published on our site, and the Biggest Loser will be published in our anthology Next Year Is This Year—Again.
